What to Consider When Choosing

If your parenting plan or court order specifies a platform by name, use that platform. Ignoring a court-ordered communication tool is a contempt risk.

If the plan says "use a co-parenting app" without naming one, choose based on your conflict level and budget. If evidence may be needed, preserve complete exports and ask counsel about the court's requirements.

Whatever platform you choose, use it exclusively for co-parenting communication. Side conversations over regular text messages undermine the purpose of having a documented channel and can create conflicting records that complicate future hearings.
