What JuridiQC Actually Does

JuridiQC walks both spouses through a structured questionnaire covering your marriage details, children, custody arrangements, support, and property division. Based on your answers, it generates:

• Sworn declarations (affidavits) for both spouses

Who Can Use JuridiQC

JuridiQC is strictly limited to joint divorces on a draft agreement — both spouses must agree on every issue before starting. That means full agreement on:

• Whether children live primarily with one parent or alternate
• Child support amounts (based on Quebec's child support determination model)
• Spousal support, if any
• Division of the family patrimony (residences, vehicles, furniture, pensions, RRSPs)
• Division of matrimonial regime assets (acquests or separate property depending on your regime)

If you disagree on even one item, JuridiQC won't work for your situation.

Where JuridiQC Stops

This is where most filers get surprised. JuridiQC generates the paperwork, but it doesn't:

Handle the courthouse logistics. You still need to print the documents, have your affidavits sworn before a Commissioner of Oaths, gather certified birth and marriage certificates from the Directeur de l'etat civil, and physically submit the package at the Superior Court registry in your judicial district with the CAD $241 court fee plus $10 federal registry fee.

Manage property calculations. JuridiQC asks you to enter property values, but it doesn't calculate them for you. You need to independently determine the net market value of every family patrimony asset as of your filing date, subtract debts and pre-marital values, and request a Simulated Partition from Retraite Quebec for pension credits.

Track your case after filing. Once you submit the application, JuridiQC's role is over. You're responsible for monitoring whether the judge has reviewed your file, whether additional information is requested, and when the judgment is issued.

Support contested elements. If one spouse wants to change the terms after you've started JuridiQC, or if disagreements surface during the process, you can't continue on the platform. You'll need to switch to a sole application pathway with a CAD $362 filing fee and formal service of process through a bailiff.

The Gap Between Forms and Filing

The most common complaint about JuridiQC isn't the tool itself — it's the assumption that generating the documents means you're nearly done. In reality, JuridiQC handles roughly the middle third of the process.
