Once SSA shows your restored name, head to a DFA State Revenue Office with:

• Your current, unexpired Arkansas driver's license
• A certified copy of the decree with the name-restoration clause
• The updated Social Security card (or confirmation the SSA record has synced)

• Banks and credit cards — each institution wants its own form plus a certified decree copy
• Voter registration — through your County Clerk
• Vehicle title and registration — at the DFA revenue office
• Insurance policies, medical portals, school records, utilities, subscriptions

The Mistakes That Cost You Trips

• Going to the DFA before SSA processes. The verification fails and you drive home. Wait 48 hours after SSA confirms.
• Bringing the ADH divorce certificate instead of the certified decree. Only the decree with the restoration clause works.
• Ordering one certified copy. Agencies keep or retain them; order 3–5 up front.
• Changing your name with some agencies but not SSA. Every database mismatch surfaces later — usually at the worst moment, like closing on a house or boarding a flight.
